Hello,
For some time now, my computer has been experiencing FPS drops in Rainbow Six Siege.
I went from a constant 75 FPS with no problems to drops making me play at 30 FPS, but this is not constant; it lasts only for a few seconds and then returns, but it happens very often, which causes issues for playing. Moreover, the VULCAN game won't open on my computer.
Here's the config of my PC, which is an Asus:
Processor: AMD Ryzen 5 2500U with Radeon Vega Mobile GFX 2.00 GHz
RAM: 8GB
Operating System: 64Bit
Windows 10 version 1909
Thank you for your help if you can.

Hello,
First of all, is your Windows up to date? And is your graphics card up to date?
Which version of Windows do you have, 7/8/10?
If you have Windows 10, go to > settings > gaming > disable Game Bar > disable Game Mode
it messes things up in games.
Power options > High performance
Windows+r > type msconfig > startup > advanced options > number of processors > you check the box and set the number of processors or cores that your CPU suggests, 4/6/8, etc...
Ok > apply > ok and restart your PC
R6 puts a lot of strain on the processor and very little on the graphics card.
Another thing that can optimize R6 > go to the Rainbow Six Siege folder > look for Rainbow Six application > right-click > properties > compatibility > change high DPI settings > check the box at the bottom and ok > check disable full-screen optimizations > ok restart your PC.
With all this, it should optimize your Rainbow Six Siege game; before I played, all these settings optimized my R6. -
Well, if your Windows and your graphics card are up to date, that's better.
1 that's what Windows offers you by default, you choose 8 since they offer it to you, it means your CPU has 8 cores, you click okay > apply > okay and you restart your PC for it to take effect. -
Hello,
try this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hMvCbtbi_dQ -
Unfortunately, that doesn't change anything; I still have the same amount of FPS loss.

So yes, Windows 10 is up to date and my graphics card is too. How do you choose the number of CPU cores when it offers me from 1 to 8?
