Hello,
My LG TV screen has an image problem. The screen is split in two. One half shows a normal image, while the other has a more or less dark color haze. Since yesterday, the damaged part is flickering. It's starting to spread to the other side. Is the panel dead?
I hope not, it's only 4 years old and of course, I don't have an extended warranty.

Good evening,
It would be desirable to have the precise model of LG..??
-- It is not certain that it is the panel itself, it could also be the backlighting.
And depending on your skills, it can be repaired...
For documentation purposes, here is a video on the subject
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S7a3nmLXfVg
This will allow you to see how it's done, the work to repair it and to imagine if you are capable of doing that... Or not..??
Of course, I am talking about the backlighting and not the rest.
You don’t say in which direction the cut is...? Horizontal or vertical..? A photo maybe..?

The cut is horizontal. The model 49UF778V. At the same time as the screen problem, some buttons on the remote control have stopped working, especially the home button. It's not a beam issue, I had the remote tested. Is it an electronic component that has burned out?
