Hello,
I would like to delete a .jpg file on my Chromebook, but apparently it is impossible to delete a file in the "Recent," "Audio," "Images," "Videos" categories on Chrome OS. I was wondering if there is still a way to do it.
I would like to specify that the file is only available in the "Images" category from my PC, which is where my problem lies.
Thank you.

I also have this issue. I came across some tips on YouTube.
- Go to settings
- Device (Device for me since my computer is in English)
- Storage
- Android storage and you can delete your photos from there.
If, like me, Android storage doesn’t appear, download "Total Commander" available on Google Play (100% free and safe) and you can get rid of them!-
Hello, I installed Total Commander but I can't find the folders: Recent, Audio, Images, and Video anywhere. Can you please tell me where they are? Thank you.
- Hello, if you're unable to delete files on Chromebook, there are two other solutions I've found on English forums:
- It is impossible to delete anything in the Recent, Audio, Images, and Video folders because that is not where your files come from. To locate their locations, you left-click and select "go to file location," which will redirect you either to the Downloads folder or to Google Drive. If you are sent to the Downloads folder, just find the file by typing its name in the folder's search bar and then delete it. But in the case where it redirects you to Google Drive, it's a bit more complicated.
- While in Google Drive, either find it in your drive and delete it from there or it might be located in a folder called "Chrome Syncable FileSystem," which you can find by typing in the search bar of the folder.
Hoping this resolves your issue.
