Hello,
my computer doesn't want to perform some of the latest updates and it shows me "Error 0x800703f1."
I went online and saw that my hard drive might have an issue with some files... anyway, I'm testing the recommendations.
I was offered some "miracle" software but it's paid.... I like it! So I turned to the commands.
I run the commands /sfc scannow, DISM.exe, etc... (no issues found)
I manually restart the commands
net stop wuauserv
net stop cryptSvc
net stop bits
net stop msiserver
ren C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old
ren C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 Catroot2.old
net start wuauserv
net start cryptSvc
net start bits
net start msiserver
but still getting this error file when trying to install updates!
I can use my computer but I can see there's a problem / the battery doesn't last as long and some applications don't launch properly.
I tried to restart my computer while keeping the files (but I get an error message saying it crashed and "that's all I've got"). Anyway, I'm counting on you for your expertise to find a solution :)
thank you in advance

Hi
to test your HDD download "crystal disc info" -
Hello,
Use the Media Creation tool,
Manually install the Windows 1909 update with the update assistant or Media Creation tool.
Follow these step-by-step tutorials:- Download and install Windows 10 1909 update (malekal.com)
- How to install Windows 10 1809 update (CCM)
and if that doesn't work:
To check your computer for possible infections and to get a general status of the system:
Follow the FRST tutorial by clicking on this blue link. ( take your time to read carefully - everything is well explained ).
Download and run the FRST scan,
Wait for the scan to finish, a message will indicate that the analysis is complete.
Three FRST reports will be generated:- FRST.txt
- Shortcut.
- Additionnal.txt
Send these 3 reports to the website https://pjjoint.malekal.com/ and return the 3 pjjoint links that lead to the reports here in a new response so that we can consult them.
(The blue links lead to step-by-step explanatory tutorials, click on them for more precise instructions to follow).

Thank you for the quick response!
So I tested the method and during the installation of Windows 10 at about 70%, I get an error message and that's it! No way to fix it!
So I launched the scan

I admit it's a bit of gibberish for me! I await your opinion and thank you in advance! -

your hard drive is OK
run "malwarebyte anti-malware" just in case
I see you have the latest version of Windows 10 (1909)
did your problem not appear since this update?
delete Norton Security
"Memory usage percentage: 80%": memory saturation not normal -
1) Go to the Control Panel
then Programs and Features.
Uninstall:
Norton Security - leave Windows Defender as a lighter alternative.
~~
To uninstall
C:\Program Files\Reimage
C:\rei
C:\Program Files (x86)\Advanced System Repair Pro 1.9.0.6.0
To read to avoid getting caught again and install these weak programs: Windows cleaning software
2) Disable/Delete from startup:
com.squirrel.Teams.Teams
Spotify
See: how to remove a program from Windows startup
~~
For your Windows Update errors:
Follow all the steps in this tutorial in order: How to repair or reset Windows Update.
A video is provided at the end with details if needed.
1) You can launch a SFC scan and repair
In Windows search, type Command Prompt
On the result, right-click and select Run as administrator.
In the black Command Prompt window, type sfc /scannow in the window.
See this image: https://www.malekal.com/wp-content/uploads/ouvrir-invite-commandes-administrateur-Windows10.gif
It should inform you that protection has detected corrupted items that need restarting to repair. At that time, restart your computer.
Then, run a DISM repair
Still in the Command Prompt window, run these two commands successively.
DISM /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth
DISM /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
(note, there is a space before each command starting with / /Online /Cleanup-image etc)
Make sure the scan and repair complete without any errors.
Restart the computer.
Try to run the updates again; if it still crashes, proceed to the next step.
2) Repair Windows Update with Windows Repair as indicated in the second part of this page: https://www.malekal.com/reparer-windows-update/
3) If nothing works, you will need to repair Windows 10: how to repair Windows 10 without data loss.

Hello again! Sorry for replying so late, I didn't have the time to test the manipulations!
So, I've tested everything, really everything, and nothing works.
The recurring problem is that the Windows 10 update never completes and I'm getting a system error message - the update didn't work.
I'm turning to you again! If you have any ideas :)
Thanks in advance.
