Hello,
Is it possible to remove applications from the startup list.
I’m not talking about disabling or uninstalling, but removing from the list.
I have disabled an application, but it still launches at startup, and there is another one that appears twice in the list.
Thank you for your responses.

Configuration: Windows / Firefox 70.0

    Hi,

    Which application?
Because some of them restart at startup when you launch it.
This is especially true for uTorrent.

You usually need to go into the application's settings, often in the general section,
there is an option to disable it from starting with Windows.

      Hello,
On my laptop, I have ABRTMon which launches Samsung Drive Manager, which annoys me because it is an removable drive that I only connect when I want to back up. I disabled it, but it still starts.
On my desktop, there are Vue Minder twice in the startup list.

Apparently it starts via a scheduled task. Use Autoruns < a href='https://www.commentcamarche.net/telecharger/utilitaires/4175-autoruns/'>Download Autoruns See this tutorial: < a href='https://www.malekal.com/autoruns/' rel='noopener noreferrer' target='_blank'>https://www.malekal.com/autoruns/ In the Task Scheduler tab, you should be able to uncheck it.

Thank you for your help, I managed to remove ABRTMon from the list of programs that start at boot.
Regarding VueMinder appearing twice in the startup list, is there anything I can do? It's not really a problem, but it makes me question and harms my sense of order.

You need to delete in the Windows registry.
      Windows key + R
      type regedit and OK.
      Expand HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
and see if there is the entry you want to delete.

Now, it’s not very serious and it has no effect.

Hello, thank you for your reply. On my desktop PC I don’t see VUEMINDER in the Run list, but there is a strange line: name "(default)", type "REG_SZ", data "value not defined". On my laptop, I solved the problem by uninstalling "SAMSUNG DRIVE MANAGER"; for the moment it doesn’t cause any issue. On my other PC this application is not installed and that doesn’t prevent me from using my Samsung removable drive.

        Hello again,
In accordance with your previous message, I used "Autoruns," and I was able to disable one of the two lines concerning VueMinder.
        Thank you for your help.
