Hello,
You can form your own opinion before ordering from an e-commerce site, as certain rules must be followed before placing an order on a site:
1- Check if there are reviews available online.
2- Verify at the bottom of the page that the MANDATORY legal notices are present, see THIS PAGE.
Simple rule: NO COMPLIANT LEGAL NOTICES, DO NOT ORDER.
3- Check if a postal address is provided, as well as a phone number and email, so that you can contact the site in case of a problem.
4- If a postal address is indicated, check if that address exists on https://www.google.com/maps/
5- Go to this site and enter the homepage address of the site you want to order from to see its location and age.
6- When ordering from a foreign site, options for recourse in case of a problem are often impossible.
7- Very low prices are a sign of counterfeit goods of very poor quality, and sometimes scams (items are never received).

Actually, it's simple.

If it's a scammer or a website owner with a low score responding to your question, they'll tell you no.

If it's a victim or a user who has benefited from the website, they'll probably say yes.

The key is that you get an argument that justifies the answer given ;-)

Perfectly agree with Fermiparadox, here in practice is the other side of the coin described by companies affected by SCAMDOC and its parent company HERETIC. What is hidden behind the fight against scams is a huge advertising business, and we are always the pigeons, on one side the scammers, on the other side the businessmen of the "scam" slogan.

Lu'

Since he specifies no source, here is a link that is a bit more explanatory.

Nevertheless, I understand Fermiparadoxx's opinion.
This site may be reliable, yes, but... it will not stop scams, as scammers are quite "skilled" in their field, scams are therefore constantly evolving.

The problem is not with the SCAMDOC application; it is a commercial application that can have its utility like others, but its founders present it as the ultimate means of combating online fraud, claiming that all their critics are nothing but potential scammers. It is the clients or users who should decide on the reliability of a service, not the seller of the application or service to self-proclaim themselves as the Robin Hood of the net without any legitimacy and to have a say over the life or death of the activities of companies, especially the smaller ones. There is something unhealthy about this way of operating; any entrepreneur who respects both themselves and their users and truly wants the well-being of the community does not market their services with methods worthy of North Korea. Personally, I do not recommend it.

ScamDoc, a really crappy site that the police is eager to make known to the Belgian public. It's amazing! I'm going to have to make a video about it because I find it so bad and unfair to entrepreneurs. But I'll do better, here are my arguments in video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J_rnh4Ye1Ac&feature=youtu.be

How can we let these people destroy the economy like this, especially during this time of crisis?
All this just to place ads!!!!

Fortunately, some companies have the courage to expose them without worrying about the consequences on their brand image.

You can support this fight just by sharing these articles as much as possible:

https://www.shoppydeals.fr/signal-arnaques-la-derive-frauduleuse-d-une-plateforme-communautaire/

https://www.shoppydeals.fr/scamdoc-com-quand-des-delinquants-evaluent-les-entreprises/

Maybe one day, you would want to start your own online business; it would save you from losing everything because a competitor, a jealous friend, a mistress, or an ex would report you as a fraudulent site to ultimately enrich a ruthless commercial enterprise and satisfy the greed of two clowns who founded this business.

Hello
It's hard to distinguish the real from the fake
I myself discovered that the same e-commerce site can be very reliable with 3.5 stars out of 4 (Trustpilot) or not reliable with 1% (Scamdoc)
The homepage can be crucial (based on instinct) and check if there are the T&Cs (mandatory for individuals)
Maybe also check if the phone answers

The website signal-arnaques.com was convicted by the Paris commercial court on December 22, 2021, for failing to comply with the Consumer Code.
https://www.legalis.net/actualite/signal-arnaques-com-ne-respecte-pas-le-code-de-la-consommation/

This conviction adds to a prior one from 2019 for disparaging practices.
Other proceedings are ongoing, and this site should indeed be rendered incapable of causing harm like its unfortunate predecessor, the Forum des Arnaques, simply because it does not comply with the law, and they have found a way, through the denunciation of supposed or real scams, to enrich the founders of Signal-Arnaques and Scamdoc.
This conflict of interest underlies this business based on Google Adsense, which is well highlighted in the following article:

If you have been a victim of the massive defamation site Signal Arnaques and its highly profitable advertising business for its manager, more and more lawyers are specializing in the fight against this type of parasitic website:

This site is run by amateurs.
They aren't even capable of protecting their domain name while wanting to pretend to protect the community. Pffff.....
