Default YouTube screen too large, recommended videos placement inconvenient

Hello,
I find the YouTube presentation screen way too large and it's anything but practical (there are only 2 videos per page width now, whereas there used to be at least 5 and that was super convenient), the size of the old layout was more than sufficient; this presentation size makes the video screen only partially visible, the layout of the recommended videos is placed below the video and the comments even further down, which is anything but practical. Moreover, as soon as you hover over the screen or pause, the screen darkens, which makes no sense. By the way, if there were a way to restore the scrolling of recommended videos and comments like on the Android app, that would be great, (but that might be asking too much).
Do you know of a solution to fix this issue, and if this is indeed the new version of YouTube, how to revert to the old version? I would like to point out that my family and I, given the professional nature of some videos (health and dance), are particularly disturbed by this situation, which is really not practical.

YouTube has released a new layout design or a new user interface called
" Polymer " for its homepage that is being rolled out to all YouTube users.
The New interface
Try the Old interface
You can create a Bookmark or Favorite for these links for quick and easy access.
Add an extension.
YouTube's Polymer redesign has made the site very slow for Firefox users. This add-on adds the "disable_polymer" option to YouTube URLs to revert to the old classic design.
After installing the extension, click on its toolbar icon and select "Classic Design", if you are on YouTube, it will refresh and load the old design.
Note:
This will be available until Google keeps the classic design option. Sooner or later, they will remove it, making it not so easy to change YouTube's appearance.
