Hello,
I had to reinstall my CANON MX475 printer on a Lenovo ideapad100S (driver issues).
My printer is connected via WIFI to my Livebox 4.
I'm unable to connect the PC to the printer.
While searching online, I only find explanations for connecting the printer to the Livebox, but that's already done...
Since it is networked with the Livebox, it is impossible to make a connection via USB cable...
Do you have any idea that could help me print again?
Thank you very much for your help.

Hello,
If the printer is connected to the live box, it should now be part of the home network. Therefore, there is no need to try connecting this printer to the PC. However, the PC should be able to see it in the printers or other devices accessible on the network. Preferably, the PC should have the drivers or software installed to manage the printer's functions.
So, you should not try to connect the printer directly to the PC.
The drivers and software are here:
https://www.canon.fr/support/consumer_products/products/fax__multifunctionals/inkjet/pixma_mx_series/pixma_mx475.html?type=drivers&language=fr&os=windows+10+%2864-bit)
If you connect the printer directly to the PC, you will need to create a computer-to-computer network (an ad-hoc network), but then the PC will no longer be connected to the live box. So, it is not an ad-hoc network that should be used, but a standard home network. The network is created by the Livebox, devices connect to it, including computers, printers, scanners... and can communicate with each other.
Therefore, if the printer is part of the network once connected to the Livebox, it should be visible and available for any computer connected to the same network.
Best regards.
