How to scan with an HP Office Jet 3833 printer.

Hi, I have an HP 3833 printer that works perfectly. But I have never tried the scanner.
I would like to scan some family photos to send them to the computer, and then post them
on F.B. Is that possible? And if so, where should I start? Thank you for your patience, as I am not a genius with computers...... Have a good evening..
