Bug java base de donné always data

bonjour j'ai un problème avec ma base de donné et mon code java je veut ajouter une ligne dans ma table de ma base de donné mais j'ai essayé avec executeQuery et executeUpdate mais sa ne marche pas pouvez vous m'aidé svp

lignes a erreures :

116 : String msg = msgTF.getText().toString();
117 : String query = "INSERT INTO msg VALUES("+msg+")";
118 : (un commentaire)
119 : st2.executeQuery(query); / st2.executeUpdate(query);

(le msg est une valeure entrer pas l'utilisateur dans un JTextField)
