Connect speakers to a headphone jack

Question

Hello,
My computer screen only has a headphone output (3.5 mm jack) and I would like to connect speakers (also 3.5 mm jack) to it. However, apparently the 3.5 mm jacks are not the same between headphones and speakers.

What type of 3.5mm jack output do you have on the PC
Is it a combo output (headset + microphone)? If so, you will need a combo headset adapter to two separate 3.5mm jack outputs like this

to use only the headset output with a jack/jack cable with three contacts

A desktop speaker kit is always 3.5, and a headphone input on a laptop or desktop is also 3.5. All of this is in stereo, of course. So apart from a headset with a 6.35 jack, which requires a female 6.35 to male 3.5 adapter, the rest is compatible. See you later . . . -- "Patience leads to success, haste leads to nothing."
