JBL FLIP 4 connected via jack to PC: Sound cuts out

Question

Hello,

I don't have speakers on my computer, so I bought a Flip 4 for that reason.
But I have a problem, the sound cuts out regularly. It feels like there's a sound level threshold that needs to be reached for the speaker to produce sound; as soon as the volume drops (in the middle of a song, for example), the sound cuts out for a few seconds...

Any ideas?

I have the same problem, but only when using it wired. The only solution I've found is to turn up the volume on the phone or computer and lower it on the speaker. The sound indeed seems to cut out when the source volume is too low.

same problem, I'm considering buying a Bluetooth transmitter to connect to the computer, it might indeed be due to the jack, I also suspect a design issue
tested with several computers and various versions of Windows, it's the same...

It's the same for me and my JBL Pulse 3; it turns off when the sound is too low.

I have the same problem; I wanted to use the Flip 4 as a TV speaker, but it cuts off at low volume... I replaced it with a UE Boom 2 and it works perfectly.

Same with a JBL Xtreme 2, as soon as the volume is low it cuts off and comes back, isn't that strange?
