Hello,

I don't understand why my DHL tracking says:

Additional information:
The shipment has been released from customs.

Next step:
Unless there is a new inspection by Customs or another government authority, the shipment will be out for delivery.

Will the package be delivered, and if so, when? When I contacted them, they told me that the package was under inspection at their sorting center.

It is supposed to be delivered today before the end of the day. It is 40km from my home at the DHL sorting center in Metz.

This package comes from the west coast of the USA.

It's quite incomprehensible...

    Hello

    Packages coming from outside the EU are subject to examination by customs to verify the contents and/or determine the tariffs you will have to pay (import fees).
    Once this is determined, the package is released by customs and is handed over to DHL, which normally forwards the package.

    No package coming from outside the EU can guarantee a precise delivery date since customs is an uncontrollable element.

    Nothing unusual, therefore.
