Print threaded conversations in chronological order with Thunderbird

Hello,
When I reply to an email, the initial messages appear afterwards in reverse chronological order. Would it be possible to print these emails by restoring the thread to chronological order? Thank you and have a nice day.

Windows 10, Thunderbird 60.8.0

    Hello,

No, the impression is that of the text that makes up the entire message, questions and answers in the order in which they appear on the display.

If we want to reverse the order, you need to configure the account to place the responses at the end of the message after the question, but that doesn't make sense because when we answer, it is the answer that is important and it is the one we should see first.

Thanks, but I wouldn’t want to change this order except for printing. In the case of printing an email, it makes more sense to have them in chronological order.

Do it by hand in a word processor!

It makes more sense to have the answers in reverse order and not everyone prints their emails (thankfully for the planet!).

Thank you, but the point is precisely to avoid doing it by hand in a word processor. The reverse chronological order is not logical when printing a discussion thread, it’s really not practical for reading. By the way, digital files passing through data centers aren’t any better for the planet than paper, but that’s not the debate.

Return the paper upside down! What’s the point of nitpicking? Submit a suggestion to the product developers! I’m not the one who will make possible something that isn’t.
