Force installation on a disk

Hello,
I have been using Windows 10 for a few days now, which I'm discovering. I have a main hard drive (C:) where Windows 10 Pro is installed and a secondary hard drive (D:) which is only for storage. During certain installations, Windows doesn't ask me for the installation path and automatically installs on my secondary drive (D:) (which I don't want ^^)

For example: installing .NET Framework 4.7 → drive (D:)
Knowing that there is no Windows on that drive at all...

There must be something obvious, but apparently not for me :)
Thank you in advance

Configuration: Windows / Firefox 68.0

    Hello,

Indeed, this needs to be adjusted through the settings.
Here’s the path to follow: Settings - System - Storage - Change the location of new content.
On the first line: New apps will be saved to the following location: Choose C (your main drive)

    Thank you for your feedback.
    See you later.

Hello Norbert, first of all thank you for your responsiveness. After your message, I rushed to modify those famous locations thinking my problem was already solved, but to my surprise, I realized that everything was already set to (C:)
      how is this possible?

    Hello gusterniel,

Great if you managed to change the location of the new records from the main drive C to the data drive D.

This is the case for all PCs equipped with 2 (or more) drives. It is up to the user to set it according to their wishes and needs. This is not done by default in the factory.
Did you move the Windows 10 libraries: Documents, Images, Music, Videos, and Downloads from drive C to the data drive?

Thanks for your feedback, if OK remember to mark it as Resolved.

    Have a nice Sunday.

      Hello Norbert,
No, I was just saying that all the settings were already configured on (C:), yet some installations are still happening automatically on the (D:) drive, which is where my confusion comes from.
