Outlook: attachments are no longer sending

Mac Book Mojave version 10.14.5
It tells me that the file is relatively large and to share it only via OneDrive regardless of the recipient.
Whereas it is supposed to accept up to 20 MB.

This problem apparently only concerns one specific message, with a particular file attached. We don't know which version of Outlook it is, nor its update level, nor the host of the account or the SMTP sending server settings. We also don't know if the error message is an Outlook error message (the message itself remaining in the outbox) or a message relay from the host (the message having been sent but rejected).

When you attach your image to your message, the size of the attachment is indicated (154 KB in my example):

The screenshot taken by Aliboron Martin is a screenshot taken on a Mac, so you can do it too.
To do this, just drag the attachment into the email you want to send and the area indicating the message size will automatically appear.
On my old Mac from 2007 with El Capitan, it looks like this:


OK, this won't solve your issue, but at least you know the size of your message.

In info: your file is relatively large: 7 MB. To avoid sending a large email, share your file via OneDrive.
- either upload and share as a OneDrive link (Upload files to the email Attachments folder. Recipients can see the latest modifications and collaborate in real-time.)
- or Attach a copy (recipients receive a copy for review)

Curious. But as long as you don't describe the circumstances (Outlook version, account host, sending server settings,...), it's going to be difficult to help you.

Personally, I'm not experiencing this issue. Neither with Outlook 2011 nor with Outlook 2019...
