Hello everyone,
I am looking for how to rename a folder of images in bulk using a CSV listing in ant.renamer.
In the listing, I have the image name in Column A, and the reference name I want to use to rename the image in Column B.
Thank you in advance for your help.

Hello,
I didn’t see that we could provide a configuration file to the software.
But with such a csv file, it’s easy to create a .cmd command file.
Do you know Notepad++? With it, you can create the command file in 3 find/replace actions.
Otherwise, with a slightly longer process, you can do it with Notepad.

Personally, I have a method that is worth what it is worth..
The CSV file opens in Excel.. (or another application)
This allows for processing, modifying, sorting, to create a list in the form of a "txt" file that Ant Renamer can utilize..-

Good evening Jee Pee
The text file is a simple list of names in ASCII (text)
In Ant Renamer, it's the "name from a list" function... it applies in the order of the files..
To avoid getting the direction wrong, I prefer to number the files before renaming them according to the list..
And then there is a character deletion function that allows you to clean up the names afterwards.
From what I remember, if there aren't enough names on the list, the software loops back to the beginning... you need to make sure there are the same number of files and names..

Hello Jee pee and contrariness
As a relative novice with this type of tool, I am a bit lost. To keep it short, I have a folder of images that correspond to a listing with a certain number of references. Each reference has several associated images (various views: front, side, 3/4, etc.). So for example, in my folder, I will have an image named "1234" that I want to rename with the corresponding reference. I attempted to load my image folder, and then do "Names from a list", meaning I loaded my listing in CSV format with two columns, one containing the image names and one with the reference names to associate. However, I don't think the operation is possible. I tried to find tutorials on YouTube but nothing seems to address the issue. A big thank you to both of you for your help.-
I just tested with a list. The list should not contain old name/new name, but simply the latter.
We select the files to rename on the first tab, and we provide the list for the new names, instead of a rule.
This means that both lists must be in the same order and contain exactly the same files. It's doable if all (and only) the files to convert are in the same directory and in your CSV file, you first sort by the old name column, to have the same order as in the directory, then you delete the first column to keep only the new name. Then you can start the renaming process.
Make sure to back up everything before testing.
