Hello,

I have the same problem.
I have the camcorder but I lost the installation CDs for the software and drivers for PC and MAC.

Could someone send them to ***@***
or explain to me how to find them on the internet?

Please, thank you in advance

Configuration: Windows / Edge 18.18362

Hello, if you have a PC of the same age as your camcorder, you might still have a FireWire (IEEE 1394) port to make the transfer, as this type of port is no longer offered on recent PCs.
The second solution is to transfer with the Dazzle box and its acquisition and editing software.

      Hello
No, the PC and the MAC are recent
I am looking for a free solution if possible….

And then if the camera is not recognized by the PC, the software might not work, right?
So it'll be a pointless purchase...

Hello, free options don't exist; you'll need to either install a FireWire (IEEE 1394) card in your PC tower
      like this one: https://www.cdiscount.com/informatique/composants-informatiques/carte-pci-firewire-ieee1394a-chipset-via/f-1071311-auc3045151087743.html?idOffre=18665879&ef_id=EAIaIQobChMI4OTtuZOH4wIVgvdRCh33KwmPEAYYByABEgKXjfD_BwE%3AG%3As&cid=search_pla&cm_mmc=PLA%21COR%21INF%21MP%21983658467%21&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI4OTtuZOH4wIVgvdRCh33KwmPEAYYByABEgKXjfD_BwE

or buy the case that I mentioned; it's a well-known and reliable brand, always updated over time, and you can resell it once you've transferred your tapes.

I still prefer a case if it's adaptable to both PC and MAC since I have both
However, for now, I haven't retrieved the S/AV cable, I only have the USB cable.
A friend gave me the camcorder but he can't find everything that was included with it...
It should be possible to buy it anyway.

Thank you for your help, but I fear that it's not just a driver that's needed, and the link is old for Windows 2000 and XP.

For a lot of software, there is backward compatibility between Windows 7/10 and earlier versions, so why not give it a try! ;)

I installed the driver and rebooted the PC but it didn’t change anything. I'm on Windows 10.

Hello, to make the transfer you will not use the AV cable but the video cable (and the plug) s/video or a composite connection with RCA jacks and a yellow plug (less good) plus the audio with 2 RCA white and red.

      Hello
      It's not working.
      I found another link
      https://fr.pcdrivers.guru/gr-dx28-driver/download-11057.html
But it keeps looping on the "I am not a robot" ....
      Is this site reliable?

Is there a solution for Mac or even better, one that works on both PC and Mac?

    Hi!

When you connect your camcorder via USB, does anything happen on your PC?

      Nothing at all.
When I go to settings and devices, I see the camcorder with driver unavailable.
