I have the same problem.
My phone fell in the water, so it's completely dead.
My game was linked via Facebook, and now I'm being asked to create a new game.
On my new phone, I reinstalled the game, but when I try to link my account via Facebook, it tells me that it's impossible because an account is already linked to this address.

It's completely normal because you connected to Facebook to create a new account whereas you need to log in to your account through Facebook.
