Hello, this issue has been reported by other users, and a solution has been proposed for those browsing with Chrome. I’m browsing with FIREFOX.
For a few months, I’ve had to try 10 times to open my Gmail. Today, it won’t open at all on my PC.
On my smartphone, there’s no problem.
(And I’m noticing the same thing with gmx.fr, which had no lag until now.)
My search engine is Google.
I have a lot of important documents (photos of renovation work in the building) on my Drive, and that’s actually what bothers me the most.
Do you have any idea how to recover all that even if I don't use my Gmail afterward?
Thank you very much for your suggestions.
(For replies, I’ll have access to them through my smartphone.)

That's strange. Maybe you should fix your Firefox.
But otherwise, if you just want to retrieve data, you can always install Chrome and use it for your Gmail. -
Thank you, Fivel51.
Other users on Chrome have the same problem as me on Firefox, and you think it could be caused by the browser?
If that's the case, I'll see if "repairing Firefox" could be enough. But how?
Otherwise, I'll install Chrome as you suggest. -
End of the problem: After 3-4 days of total blockage (I was only able to open one of my Gmail accounts once but without being able to read the emails: a permanent Google disconnection. However, I was able to access Drive and took the opportunity to download my photos to an external hard drive, then to a USB stick + other email services. It was a lot of work... To read emails, one can always use their phone but also install Thunderbird, which I did: having all the email services in one program is simpler.)
Then I was able to access my Gmail (and GMX) accounts again without delays after several days (I had tried dozens of times in the meantime).
So: Firefox?
It turns out that Firefox recently made significant updates, offering new services in particular.
Anyway, I don't know what could have blocked Gmail (and GMX) for a few days on my PC, but 1) patience and 2) caution: Thunderbird + automatic transfers to several email services (hello digital pollution, it's important to know) + USB stick (which one day will no longer be valid, that too is important to know).
Have a good day everyone, hoping to have suggested a solution to others.
