Hello,

I have a question regarding the installation of Windows 7 on a HP 290 G2. After several installation attempts and dozens of days looking for a solution, I've had no success.

When I boot from my Windows 7 USB drive, the keyboard and mouse become unresponsive at the start of the installation (language configuration ...), which blocks the installation.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 74.0.3729.131

    Hello,

    Because you have to stick with Windows 10.

    Intel® Celeron® Processor (G4900 with Windows 10 only);

    It's probably because the Windows 7 installer doesn't include USB 3. drivers.
    You can try this: https://www.malekal.com/installer-windows-7-usb3/

    But logically, you should stick with Windows 10.
    Additionally, support for Windows 7 is coming to an end, and you don't have a license for this version of Windows.
