Hello,
I want to remove a printer (Win10x64), but it’s impossible: I click on delete, yes, and nothing happens… The printer is still present in the list and no error message.
Moreover, no way to delete it through the device manager: it seems to work, then when I reopen the manager, it’s back. No documents in the queue, and the spooler has been restarted several times without success… Help?
I need to remove this printer because it is not "real": Canon installed it by default, but I need to delete it to connect to the "real" printer via Wi-Fi.
PS: I am on Windows 10 64 bit, the printer is a Canon PIXMA MG 3650, and I am an administrator on my PC.
PPS: My computer has the annoying habit of refusing operations without error messages and for no reason. This is becoming very annoying.
Configuration: Windows / Chrome 73.0.3683.103

Hello, thank you for your response
Yes, I have already done some research, but here is the problem:
If I uninstall the drivers, I can't use the printer.
If I reinstall the drivers after detecting the printer, it automatically replaces it with the "fake" printer. Back to square one.
I know that simply clicking "delete" works without touching the drivers, because I have two computers and on the second one it worked. This is also what CANON recommends in the installation manual.-
"If I uninstall the drivers, I can't use the printer"
It doesn't matter, the goal is to uninstall everything, as you read on the pages, you must first remove the drivers, all traces of drivers, then remove the printer, at least all the Canon ones, making sure no printers are connected anywhere.
When everything has been cleaned "thoroughly" AND after a complete restart of the machine and after checking that nothing is left, then you can attempt a reinstallation following the standard process.
Because if that doesn't work either, you'll be in for a reinstall of the machine (PC).- It's the following sentence that is important: if I reinstall the drivers after connecting to the printer, it goes back to the source of the problem. (tested previously on my other PC)
What bothers me the most is that on one PC I can remove the printer without uninstalling the drivers, and on the other I cannot.

Hello,
If the problem persists:
Download and install --> Revo Uninstaller
Run it as an administrator
Uninstall all Canon products
Carefully follow the tutorial to uninstall everything properly, including residual folders and keys.
Restart the PC.
Install the driver --> MG3650
