How to Rename Multiple Files without Parentheses

Hello,

So I tried a couple of programs that offered this option but the problem is they can't sort files in parentheses correctly. For example, instead of sorting the files like this (1) (2) (3) (4), they sort them like this (1) (10) (11) (2).
I think it's because the software I'm using is quite old, so the sorting isn't very advanced.

Do you have a program that doesn't have this issue or any tips?

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 73.0.3683.103

    Hello Shamankai,
With the free software "FastStone Image Viewer" (downloaded from CCM), which I regularly use to organize image files from different devices, allowing me to move and sort them as I wish, I can achieve what you're looking for.
I just did it; you either enter a name or not to rename, then you need to enter the ## sign twice in the appropriate box to number your files in two digits.
Or three ### signs for a three-digit numbering.
The result is: 01jpg, 02jpg, etc., or: 001jpg, 002jpg, etc. There are no parentheses.
It's a software that has other possibilities, but I don't know how to use them.
    Best regards.

Indeed, it's working; the sorter is good as well. Thank you very much.

    Hello

    Just avoid using parentheses.
And there's no need for software, Windows 10 does this very well; just select the series of files, right click, rename, put in the desired title, and it will rename them in sequence.
If you're looking for more options, you'll need to use software; there are several free ones available.

    Best regards

I know this manipulation, but the numbering that allows sorting is in parentheses, and that's not what I'm looking for. I've tried all the free software offered on the site, but their sorting struggles with the order when there's numbering in parentheses.

I found a solution; I had to use Lightroom, a paid software, to rename my images without the numbers in parentheses. The software offered on the site is outdated; currently, you have to pay to get software that sorts properly.

      Windows offers this

      And I wanted this
