Do my friends see my activity in a public Facebook group?

Hello,

I am part of a public Facebook group, and you don't need to be a member to see the posts. However, I wanted to know if when I post a message or a publication, it might show up in the news feed of my friends?
Because I have seen posts from my friends in groups I wasn't part of in my news feed, I think..
So here's my question: do my friends see my activity in this group in their feed (also if I like a post in the group)? And if so, is there a way to prevent that?

PS: I'm specifically talking about a public group, and my question is not whether my friends can go to the group's page and see the posts, I know they can. My question is whether my posts/comments/likes in the group can appear in their news feed and if there is a way to prevent that :)

Configuration: Windows / Chrome 73.0.3683.86

Hello

A public group is public... So yes, everyone sees everything... and everyone sees your activity appearing on the news feed. And no, you can't do anything about it.

Only your contacts can unsubscribe from your activity... but that has to come from them...

:)

Thank you for your response, but I don't see why Facebook doesn't give the option to hide our activities on Facebook!! It's really too bad because I wish my friends couldn't see everything I do in the groups!!
Thank you and have a great day :)

I don’t see why he would do it...

Facebook allows you to create three types of groups: public, closed, or secret... If you don’t like being in a public group, you just need to choose only closed or secret ones... and if you are an admin, you can change the type...

Yes, but I'm not the owner of these groups, so I can't change their status!
What I want Facebook to do is to give us an option in the settings to hide all our activities on Facebook! Even if I comment on a friend's photo that they have made public!!

It's not the point... the point of Facebook (and all social networks, by the way) is to eliminate your privacy... everything becomes public... it's against human nature to want to keep things secret on this type of platform.
