"Publication import failed" on Instagram

Could someone kindly help me? Since this afternoon, after posting photos from my computer's hard drive (an iMac) to Instagram, suddenly, on the next photo, after pressing “share,” I see the message “failed to import post” appearing at the bottom left of the screen. Since then, I have done extensive research online about this and have found nothing - (since I post these photos from the computer and not from a smartphone or an iPhone - in those cases there are responses to try) - to resolve the issue for posting the next photos. I even went so far as to turn off the iMac and turn it back on in hopes that it might finally work again. Each time I have tried to post a photo again, I have received the same message: “failed to import post.” What should I do? Thank you in advance.
