Bonjour,
My son is 14 years old and has a computer in his room. I want to limit his session hours to prevent him from spending too much time on it. So, I created a Windows account for him, and I am the administrator and adult, while he has a child account. So far, everything is fine, and parental control is working correctly.
However, my son is quite clever and when he wants to extend his limit of 3 hours a day, he simply changes the time on the PC, and voila, he gets extra time...
First remark: how is it possible that Microsoft has not addressed this flaw?
From what I understand, there is a way to block the time change on a child account if we set the level to 4 in the User Account Control settings:

So I naturally tested setting the control to maximum, but the problem is that each time he launches certain applications, it asks him for the admin password: "Are you sure you trust this unknown publisher, blah blah blah"...
So how can I prevent him from being asked for the admin password every time on his applications while not allowing him to change the time to bypass parental control?
Thank you.

Hello,
You can set up parental control directly from your Internet box.
This will automatically cut off the Internet connection of the specified device at the hours you have configured.
Enter this in your browser's search bar: 192.168.0.1
(the login information can be found underneath your Internet box)
Typically by default: admin, password
For Free: http://mafreebox.freebox.fr/
(Other providers: https://www.commentcamarche.net/maison/box-connexion-internet/643-192-168-0-1-192-168-1-1-192-168-0-254-comment-acceder-a-une-box-internet/#sur-la-freebox )

Hello, thank you for your response. Unfortunately, my version of the Free is the Crystal box, which does not allow this kind of option, unless I'm mistaken.
Hello,
But the thing is, my son is a little clever and when he wants to extend his 3-hour limit for the day, he simply changes the time on the PC and poof, he gets extra time...
Because your son's Windows user is an administrator or worse, you are all using the same user session.
So he can change whatever he wants in the settings, like the date and time, and even install applications.
If he had a standard or child user session, he wouldn't be able to change the Windows time.
So this needs to be adjusted.
See here to manage users: https://www.malekal.com/utilisateurs-sessions-windows/
If your son has his own session, change him to a standard user:
Windows key + R
type netplwiz
Select your son's user and properties
group membership tab and set him as a standard user.
Otherwise, you need to create him one and ensure he is not an administrator.
