Hello

I hope everyone is doing well.

So, I have just set up an FTPS solution with a Filezilla server and after testing it from the outside (Filezilla Client), I am getting an error message even though I have followed all the prerequisites during deployment.

Filezilla Client:

Status: Connecting to x.x.x.x:990...
Status: Connection established, initializing TLS...
Status: Verifying certificate...
Status: TLS connection established, waiting for welcome message...
Status: Logged in
Status: Retrieving directory listing...
Command: PWD
Response: 257 "/" is current directory.
Command: TYPE I
Response: 200 Type set to I
Command: PORT x,x,x,x,211,164
Response: 200 Port command successful
Command: MLSD
Response: 150 Opening data channel for directory listing of "/"
Response: 425 Can't open data connection for transfer of "/"
Error: Failed to retrieve directory listing
Status: Connection closed by server

Huawei H532e Router:

1- Mapping Name 2- Interface 3- Protocol 4- Remote Host 5- Initial External Port 6- External End Port 7- Internal Port 8- Internal Host

1-Filezilla server 2-Internet_R_0_38 3-TCP 5-990 6-990 7-990 8-192.168.1.3

1-PASV 2-Internet_R_0_38 3-TCP 5-10050 6-10051 7-990 8-Public IP declared on the Filezilla Server

I even tested the dedicated ports on the passive part of the Filezilla server through this site https://www.yougetsignal.com/tools/open-ports/ and it indicates that they are open.

Can you please help me solve the problem?

Equipment used:
1- Physical server running Windows Server 2012
2- Buffalo NAS connected to the server via network share
3- NAT and port forwarding on router and firewall (Passive ports)
4- Antivirus used on server Microsoft Essential
5- Huawei H532e Router

For your information, the server is accessible from the private local network

Thank you in advance for your support.

Best regards.

    Hi,
your connection is not in passive mode, we can see the port command, it should be pasv.
it's better to use passive mode if you are forwarding a range of passive ports on the server side.
