FTP Failed to retrieve content

Hello,
I've been pulling my hair out for a few days trying to get my FTP server to work.
Let me explain, my friend and I have configured the server and redirected the ports on the Freebox (correctly, I hope).
At first, it wouldn't work from our place except in active mode... (so I read up on active and passive mode (this is complicated)... anyway...
From work, it doesn't work at all even in active mode.... Back home, we reconfigure, and it also works in passive mode, but from work, nothing to do...

I had the same problem
in FileZilla, I set the transfer mode to active and the character set to Force UTF-8
