FileZilla connection issue: error 530

Hello,

If someone finally had a good answer for that infamous error 530.
I've read everything above but unfortunately, nothing works.
I can access my directories and files with my ISP (Orange), but I can’t update the site.

Since I have the same site hosted by OVH, I tried connecting with that ISP and there, there is no problem at all.
After correctly configuring the manager, everything worked right away.

I've tried everything; only the jiocef joke explained above works (even with multiple files in the queue).
I only have the problem since I installed my Livebox.

You told me to "replace wanadoo with orange" for the FTP server.

If you read the link to the connection log in FileZilla, I did put "orange" instead of wanadoo.

If the Orange hotline 3900 provided me with at least one useful piece of information, it's the address of the Orange FTP connection server: perso-Ftp.orange.fr.

That's the only valid information, so I will contact them by email, but it's costly.

I don't understand because I correctly entered "orange.fr" and not "wanadoo.fr" as the address of the Orange server to connect to FileZilla.

The problem does not come from the Orange server address, which is correct since it's the only valid information received from 3900 after 5 phone calls.

I can tell you that FileZilla put me back in line, telling me that it needed the full email address

For your information, with Orange, when using an FTP client, you need to enter the full address

If you have Free, it works as you say, not with Orange "otherwise you don't have vitamin C at the output"

I am convinced that error 530 has nothing to do with an MP issue

I come bearing some scoop with good news to inform you that this topic can be marked as resolved since I have finally found the origin of my problem.

Indeed, my problem is related to Orange, which writes the FAQs very poorly by failing to provide the crucial information.

Let me explain regarding my issue with "error 530"; there is an FAQ 48 for which I will provide you the link to understand better why I am giving a "red card" to the writers at Orange.

I found the solution to my problem thanks to a responsive member MoustyFaia from the original forum where I posted the topic.

This forum is forum-orange.com, which deals with topics related to Orange and is run by volunteers who have a spirit of mutual aid like at CCM.

Here’s what got me thinking.

I told him that I had taken the "Orange personal pages" beginner offer to test the service quality.

And I had noticed that with the "beginner offer," we are not offered to "Create a directory"; let's say rather to reserve a personal space on the web with an Orange server.

In fact, it is mandatory to take the "confirmed offer" to obtain the creation of a directory in order to reserve one's personal Orange space.

So if FAQ 48 had been well written by specifying the mention "take the confirmed offer to create your directory" in point 2, it would not have led me astray.

I took the opportunity to ask Orange to update FAQ 48 so that it would be beneficial for other customers in the future.

I am looking for a detailed tutorial for Filezilla to better understand the "remote site" part because I do not grasp anything.

When I drag and drop a file into the upper part of the remote site, nothing happens.

I have noted that it is with the lower part of the "remote site" that the transfers are made.

Could you tell me how to manage the default remote directory, as I noticed that nothing is indicated at the root level in the tutorial example? Is that normal?

Should I follow the structure of the local directory by replicating the same architecture for the "remote site"?
Assuming I follow this structure:

C:\my documents\my site

Should I leave the "remote site" at the root level empty or enter the path I defined above?

What do you advise me to do?
