Unable to change my information in my PayPal account.

Hello,
I'm sorry for choosing the Windows forum, but in the long list of options, there was none that suited me.
So here it is: I changed my phone number and credit card, and I can't seem to update my information on PayPal. They insist on responding to a phone number I no longer have.
I forgot my password. I'm sure of the answers to the security questions, but I can't remember if I wrote them in lowercase or uppercase. I tried both, with no success.
I'm almost considering opening a new email address, but I hope there's a simpler option.
If you could help me, I would greatly appreciate it.

A slightly different issue.

I moved from France to French Polynesia, and therefore changed my country code from +33 to +689.

It is impossible to change my number and therefore verify my account for transfers and log in if there is a problem because it still takes into account my old mainland number... which is no longer active!

On the other hand, changing my address is fine, as well as my new bank card... There’s no problem there!

PayPal is telling me to close my account that has been open since 2005 and create a new one, very practical!

I have made quite a few purchases recently, so I am stuck. If I follow this logic, I would have to wait to receive everything, crossing my fingers that there are no refunds/returns in between and not order anything else to create a new account due to a bug (or a lack of thought) on the website to change my number???

Isn't that a bit crazy?
Is there not another logical solution?
