Issue with AVG antivirus?

Hello,
I just received the information below. I'm having trouble with AVG.
How can I uninstall this AVG and replace it with another antivirus?

We strongly recommend you turn on our active protection.
AVG is currently in Passive Mode.
You can still run scans and use our other features, but we can't actively protect your PC from attacks.
Do you want to turn on our active protection?
Yes / No, stay in passive mode
Don't ask me again.

    AVG is currently just disabled in real-time, you need to enable real-time protection

    We strongly recommend that you enable our active protection.

      Thank you for your response. I understood the text. However, is it normal to enable real-time protection at every Windows/PC startup?
      Are there other antivirus software options that are more reliable?
      I have a lot of issues with AVG. I want to remove it from my PC.

        Are you sure that only AVG is active on your PC? According to some forums, AVG will disable its real-time protection if another antivirus is active due to the risk of conflict, so make sure that no other antivirus is running at the same time.
