Good evening, I got a fine because I hadn’t paid for my travel ticket since the station where I boarded the train didn’t sell tickets at the vending machine and there was no one at the ticket counter (I also asked a conductor on the platform and he told me he couldn’t sell me one). When I arrived at my destination, the conductor took my details via my ID card, but he got the city I reside in wrong because the card is expired and I’ve changed my address. I only realized it when I got home. While looking on the forum there are lots of answers that contradict each other and I don’t know what to do. Could someone enlighten me—this is the first time this has happened to me. Thank you.
