Know the video format supported by a messaging service

Hello and good Sunday to everyone.

I bought a Samsung 128 MB SD card on AliExpress.
Upon arrival, the card doesn’t work, neither on the Samsung phone it’s intended for, nor on a Windows phone that is supposed to support this type of card with this capacity, nor on a Windows 7 computer with the adapter, nor on a Windows 10 computer with the adapter, nor on a Linux computer.

The seller requested that I send them a video to prove that it doesn’t work (afterwards, at their request, there was a bunch of exchanges and photo exchanges).

The problem is that the video I made, in MP4 format, is not supported by AliExpress messaging, and I don’t know what the maximum file size I can send is.

Could someone please let me know how to retrieve this information? It seems I could edit the video to reduce the file size and convert it to another format that might be supported.

Thank you to those who know for sharing their insights with me.

    Hello Bernard,

Messaging services have varying limits, especially internal messaging on sites.

The simplest solution, in my opinion, is to temporarily host your video on a drive (e.g. Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, MEGA...) which don't have limits and send a link to download the video.
Some sites also offer temporary hosting for large files (Transfernow 3 Go, Wetransfer 2 Go) that don't require an account and erase files after a defined time.

I hope this helps you :)
