Unsupported video file in After Effects for no reason

Hello there! I started video editing a little while ago.

However, for one of my videos, I need to create a small animation with a template in video format (whether it's .mov, .avi, or .mp4 doesn't change anything) and After Effects doesn’t recognize it.

Yet, I use VLC as a video player and it plays it without any problem.

What should I do?

Hello, I use modifiable templates with Blender but not necessarily with After
then finalized in mpeg (h264), once finalized I think it is no longer modifiable if I understood the question correctly
I use them without any problem on Corel Studio

Well, thank you for replying to me, but I am on Adobe Suite. No video file, not even anything other than my template, seems to be accepted by my software...

Hello, please ask your question on CCM noting that Adobe is refusing video files on its timeline
