Great support for this thing, I will never buy from them. Is there at least a manual with their device?

Fixing the IP means that:

Your box assigns an IP address to each device that connects to it, PC, phone, heater, etc. By default, it's "dynamic," meaning the box manages everything by itself. It receives a "request," and will assign an IP address in the router's (BOX) range of 192.168.0.x (the most common).
If necessary, it can change this address, in short, dynamic means automatic between devices.

What these "fools" mean is that for the heaters, you have to tell the box that, for the heaters, you do not want it to be managed automatically, but manually.
Basically, we will take the addresses already assigned by the box and "fix" them on the box.

And I imagine that on the mobile/heater interface, you can also check the settings.

How to fix it in the box? It will depend on the box and its model. Most of the time, you access it via the box's IP which will be 192.168.0.1, you type this address in a browser, and with the password and username, you will access the web page of the box that allows these modifications.

Be careful, each box model/interface is different, it is not possible to tell you in advance what you will find there.

A simple solution would be to contact your provider's support, in principle, they can help you and even access your box remotely. You just need to explain to them, and for someone who knows where to go, it's a matter of 10 minutes.

If not, you will need to come back here with the screenshots or at least the model of the box and I will look for what I can find on the net. (I'm not in France, the providers are different, but the principle is the same everywhere)

No, no absolutely not.

All your IP addresses in the 192.168.x.x range are your "private addresses" which are not accessible from the outside.
It's your box that takes care of communication with the "outside".
Everything remains internal, no problem.

To illustrate the situation, we could compare it to a company that has its public address (which can be anything) with multiple offices, having a main entrance with a reception and a security guard.

The reception is visible from the outside and from the inside, but it's the only part of the building. Everything else is "closed".

The receptionist (box) is responsible for welcoming and directing people and mail to the right offices internally (IP addresses 192.1.68.x.x) and sending mail to the correct external addresses (which will have different addresses than 192.168), in short, the outside is the internet.

The security guard checks "identities" and the security of mail/visitors before allowing anything to enter (box firewall).

People outside see nothing at all; only the reception establishes the link between the two "worlds".

However, inside everyone must know where the others are in order to reach them or meet colleagues. So we would say that there is an internal directory, managed and maintained by a person who knows the people and assigns them an office (192.168.0.2, 3, 4, 12, etc.) upon their arrival.

In "automatic" mode (DHCP), each person will receive an "office" for a defined and renewable time. Most of the time, they will keep this "temporary" address repeatedly, unless something necessitates a "relocation". If so, the manager contacts the person concerned and simply tells them to change offices.

In a fixed mode, some people will receive a permanent office, and it will be "impossible" to make them change (for internal organizational reasons). Some rooms will thus be "fixed" internally and assigned permanently. Others can continue in automatic mode.

I tried the procedure last night without success. The module connected to the box for a few moments before disconnecting almost immediately, just like it did before. Indeed, it is not normal that it doesn't work (with or without a fixed IP); I think there is a fundamental design issue. At this stage, I have no idea how to get it working. I hope you will have more success!

Happy to see that I'm not alone in the world. This server module is a disaster!! The wifi has really evolved, but not with Smart Eco Control. I have plenty of devices connected via wifi, cameras, printers, tablets, phones, remotes, ... and all of them work wonderfully. Automatic installation, no hang-ups, no conflicts, in short, it's wifi of today.
I also bought this module, and I'm on my third one. Each time I was told my module must be defective... but I have the same problem three times... The connection doesn't work, and I just found something strange. When I reset the module, I start the connection procedure to the box with a static IP please or it doesn't work, well yes this module is from the Middle Ages... and then when it tries to connect to my box, the wifi in the house disappears. I unplug the module and all my wifi comes back. It's a jamming module! By chance, I stumbled upon a solution that isn't really one in terms of jamming with a wifi repeater next to my box (for your information, I've also had my box replaced...). Yes, the module must be jamming, but since the repeater is stronger, it takes over and everything works. I'm open to a real solution! I've tried moving the module further away but it's still tough...
