Uninstalling the patch package is not supported! Adobe Rea update Solved

Question

Hello and thank you in advance for your help, I searched the forum to see if the problem had already been reported, but I found nothing or I searched wrong! The update for Adobe DC is not possible after the proposed download, the installation starts then stops with the information mentioned in the title! I tried to uninstall using programs and features in normal mode and in safe mode, but it was not possible I also tried with CCleaner, but it did not work! hmm, rather annoying problem...  Try the Adobe cleanup tool provided on this page: https://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html  If it still doesn't work, check if there is an exe to run in the Adobe Reader installation directory to uninstall the specific patch.  After that, unfortunately, I will have exhausted all my suggestions...

Hello Michel,  The underlying problem seems to be Adobe Reader and not Adobe DC itself. What version of Reader do you have? My suggestion: - First, try uninstalling Adobe Reader. - If you can't do that, try reinstalling the same version before uninstalling it. - If it's too old a version, and you can't reinstall it, install the latest version, then uninstall it. - If everything goes well, you should be able to uninstall Adobe DC afterwards... at least, I hope so :-)  Best regards Cyril
