Hello,
I am using the latest free version of Adobe Acrobat Reader DC 2019-008-20081. When I open a document, the right pane is not minimized and I have to go through View + Show/Hide to uncheck the Tools pane, which then minimizes. The little button I used to use to show or hide this pane is no longer responsive.
Is this a limitation of the free version or a consequence of a default setting?
I have searched through all the options in the drop-down menus before my eyes and I have found nothing to make the pane systematically minimized upon opening. Hoping to be clear and that there is a "trick" to achieve this.
Thank you in advance for your help.
Configuration: Windows 10 up to date, Free software Open Office, MikTex, Chrome, and a few basic tools.

Hi,
- you open a PDF doc with Acrobat Reader DC
- you perform your action to close the Tools pane on the right
- you press the 2 keys Ctrl + K: open Preferences
- on the left, in Categories, you select Documents
- in the Open settings, you check the 5th box Remember current Tools pane state then OK
- close Acrobat Reader DC, reopen the PDF doc > the Tools pane should not display
See you later
