Hello,
As a secondary school teacher, I’m looking to take attendance using QR CODES.
The idea would be:
1/ Scan with a tablet or phone the QRCode of a student (placed on their middle school card).
2/This QRCode corresponds to their name.
3/ Their name appears in an attendance list and the present mark is recorded.
4/ After scanning 60 students in a few minutes we can see the absent students.
I am therefore looking for an app that could do this?
Or an alternative solution if you know something??
Thank you for your help

Hello!
60 students per class!! Where do you teach?
To my knowledge we have not developed software to take roll by scanning the student card.
Simply because in a class of up to 36 students, the teacher gets to know their students after a few weeks (maximum 2 months for very busy classes).
Taking attendance by traditional means usually takes 1 minute; scanning the student card would take much longer and would represent a substantial loss of time over the 55 minutes of a lesson.
And furthermore, always for reasonably sized classes, it is better to emphasize the human side (knowing the students) rather than technological solutions.
best regards
