Hello,

I set up a HP3639 printer last week and connected it wirelessly with my laptop.

Everything was fine until this morning when it asked me for the network security key, whereas before it didn't ask for anything (I don't think the network was secured before).

I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer. It shows as offline.

I'm tearing my hair out. I can print from my smartphone without any issue.

When I connect it with a USB cable, everything works fine; wirelessly, nothing happens, it doesn't print....

Moreover, before today, I had to disconnect from my Wi-Fi network to connect to the printer... Is this normal? I'm far from being a tech expert!

Thank you for your help!

Hello,
You specify that it prints when connected via USB, from there, you switch to a wireless connection, for example.
Under Windows, you search for and confirm the name of your printer, then the HP assistant should open, provided, of course, that the printer software has been installed on the PC!
In Tools, click on Printer Setup and Software, a window should open and offer you to switch from a USB connection to a wireless connection.
Follow the displayed procedure to get there.
Regards.

Thank you, but I've already done this manipulation... nothing works. Not only am I told this time that the installation is complete, but then ultimately it's not, and my printer has disappeared from my devices...
My printer must be connected to my Wi-Fi network from my internet box, right?

I see that your issue is not going well!
So, if I were you, I would act as if this printer was unknown to the PC, meaning I would delete it without question, before starting a clean installation, removing all traces of it, no drivers/software left.
In the meantime, after removing everything, I would restart the PC.
If you have the printer's accompanying CD (DVD), you would fully follow the installation procedure by selecting a wireless connection.
If you do not have a CD (DVD), you would download the driver/software suite from the manufacturer's website and install it.
The manufacturer's website is HERE.

Good evening!

The issue was resolved this morning, I don't know how!!! The installation finished by itself..... Anyway... The mysteries of computing.

I have another problem that I will explain in another discussion!

Thank you!
