Hello,
On Earth, 3 friends are climbing. They are together again and decide to let themselves fall to find themselves suspended by a carabiner.
Will the carabiner break?
Given:
Mass of the 1st: 58kg
Mass of the 2nd: 62kg
Mass of the 3rd: 100kg
Strength of the carabiner: 25 kN

    Hello,

No information on the distance between climbers or the distance fallen before the rope stops at the carabiner? This really takes me back, so I don’t think I can do the calculations for you. However, it seems to me that you're missing elements to calculate the force at the anchor point... Depending on their fall, gravity makes them accelerate, which increases their weight (not mass, I mean weight!). Good luck!

    Have a good day!
