Bank card to create Google account for child

Hello,
I am being asked for my credit card number to create a Google account for my 15-year-old son. Am I required to provide my credit card number? Furthermore, the three digits on the back of the card are also being requested, and I really do not want to share them. Thank you!

      Green Mouse gives you the answer, I quote:
      "Under 16, parents must give their consent and manage their account on their behalf until they reach the required age."
