Hello everyone, I have a problem with my sound card on my PC and I don’t know how to solve it. Here is the problem and the solutions I’ve tried, thanks if you can help me find the issue.

<u>[Description of the problem]</u>

No audio device is installed.
No sound card was found. If a card is present, you must install an audio device provided by the hardware manufacturer.

<s>Solutions attempted:</s>

-Reinstall all drivers and pilots using the disk provided with the motherboard
-Reinstall all the latest drivers offered by Asus site (I downloaded the drivers that correspond to my motherboard model and my operating system)
-In Device Manager I did: search for hardware changes and then restart the computer
-Update drivers manually
-Buy an external sound card: Roccat Juke and install the drivers provided with this hardware and those on the site.

Despite all these measures I’ve taken, the problem persists. Is it a motherboard issue? Drivers? BIOS?

    Good evening,

    How do I access the BIOS? Is it during the startup screen or can I go to it when the PC is running, or is it simply when the computer is on that I go to a specific file?

    Thank you

    In audio, video and gaming control center:

    - High Definition Audio Device

    - ROCCAT Juke (it's the external sound card I bought and the sound only works on the internet and not in games or others ...)

    That's all I have.

    Try these 2 pilots:
    --> Audio
    --> HDMI

    Hello,

    Go into the BIOS and check if the audio device is enabled.

    Windows + R → Tapez -> devmgmt.msc et OK.

    Qu'avez-vous dans Contrôleurs audio, vidéo et jeu ?

    Quel est le numéro du modèle Asus ?

    Give the hardware identification number of the High Definition Audio device
    Look at this --> Find the device identification number
    Post the number in your next message.

    What is the model number of the Asus?

    If you don't know the model number (motherboard):
    Download and install --> AIDA64 extreme <<--

    For the report, look at the example in the tutorial.
    Post the report in your next message.

      Could this be a DirectX problem?
      Or maybe an inferior driver for the "high-definition audio device" will work?

    hi

    Do you have a newer nvhda.inf version or one compatible with Windows 8.1?

    it's the version for W8.1 64-bit >> https://fr.msi.com/Graphics-Card/support/GTX-970-GAMING-4G#down-driver&Win8.1%2064

    Ah this level is a very hard problem to solve I think the best thing I can do is to find a company or a shop where there are professionals who can repair it for me even though the price will be quite high ...

    Has the driver installation been completed without any problems? (error message etc...)

    Did you reboot the PC after installation?

    For the drivers, it -> HERE

    Have you disabled the Intel integrated graphics card in the BIOS?

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Yes, the audio device is indeed enabled

    In the BIOS, is it set to Auto or Enabled?

      And for the drivers I already tried installing via Asus's site and it didn't work. Could it be a physical problem with my motherboard? A spot where it has "burned" and thus damaged an area, specifically around the audio chipset.

    Then here’s what I did in my BIOS:

    BIOS ----> Advanced mode ---> advanced --- > PCH Config:

    - Intel Rapid Tech Smart was disabled, I turned it on
    - Intel Smart Connect Technology (ISCT) was also disabled and I turned it on

    And in

    BIOS ----> Advanced mode ---> advanced ---> Embedded peripheral config ---> Azalia HD Audio controller ---> it was already enabled

    And regarding: Have you disabled the Intel integrated graphics card in the BIOS?

    I didn’t find the place.

    I suggest you reinstall Windows.

    If the problem persists after a reinstall, the audio card is possibly defective.

      Thank you very much!

      I will do that.

      Also, do you know why when I bought an external sound card the sound is there but only on the internet and in 1 game, otherwise in some applications like Discord, Skype, Teamspeak, and in certain games like CS, COD, and others the sound is not present?

      But otherwise I think it is a defective and physical problem with my motherboard at the audio level.

      As soon as I make changes I will let you know anyway, thanks for everything.

      Have a good evening: Tax .

      Hello everyone, I went to see an IT advisor who isn’t far from my place. He was able to detect the problem, he uninstalled Windows, reinstalled it, and replaced a component that was defective but so minor to see that he didn’t charge me. I am also grateful to you since you took the time to try to find my issue. Thank you very much and have a great day!
