Hello,

I received two messages from Facebook saying:
“X set your nickname to Love”
Then
“X removed your nickname.”

What does it mean that this person “set my nickname to Love”? I understand the hidden meaning :) but I would like to know what action it corresponds to in FB/Messenger.

Thank you in advance

Configuration: Windows / Firefox 62.0

    Hello,

You can set people's nicknames in a conversation. To do this, go to the "i" then Nicknames.

      Thank you, Diablo.
So this person wanted to call me Love. Is this nickname visible only to this person?
I'm using Messenger Lite, I don't see this option. Besides, I don’t have an "i"!

The nickname is visible to everyone in the conversation. The "i" is located at the top right when you open Messenger. I am not familiar with Messenger Lite, but it should be in the same place when you open a conversation.
