How to protect your credit card online?

Hello,

I have a credit card that would benefit from internet protection. However, I was able to enter my real credit card on UberEats, instead of going through the Virtualis service. Why? Can some sites bypass this?
Additionally, I noticed a fraudulent payment on my account, 6 euros from UberTrip, but I never use Uber for a car ride.
So someone must have used my banking details...
What should I do?
My advisor said that disputing the charged amount would be enough, but if Uber can bypass internet protection, they could always use my banking details to pay for Ubers. (Since then, I've removed my real banking information and added a Virtualis card with a very small amount because we can't have no payment method on UberEats, then I deleted my account).

    Hello

I don't know Virtualis because my bank uses another process (3D Secure) that consists of receiving a code on my mobile and entering it on the merchant's site to validate the purchase.

While this system works well on some sites (SNCF and others), it doesn't exist on Amazon... so I always get a bit anxious with each purchase and even in between because I know my credit card isn't protected.

I have this system too, in addition to the virtual card.
So I wasn't protected on Uber...

Amazon also offers the option to keep your bank details on file: it's a convenience that increases the risks in the event of a hack (I’m a bit paranoid :) ).

If a site allows purchases without a virtual card or a secure system, one can indeed say that the protection is minimal.

Alright, so it's better to directly block it?
Because I've only had one fraudulent payment so far, but it might happen again if they have my bank details...

For the answer, I will rely more on the advice of my bank.

I went directly to the bank and it was necessary to block the payment, especially since another payment was apparently pending. I also need to file a complaint, not for reimbursement but for informational reasons (fighting cybercrime). And Uber even gave me a name and the city after their investigation, but I don't know more; they can't give me his identity.
