Alt key gets stuck

Hello everyone,

I'm using an HP Pavilion PC running Windows 8.1: after turning it on and after a little while, the computer virtually keeps the Alt key active, which messes up all commands including those from the mouse and the on-screen keyboard. The problem sometimes occurs even when I'm not doing anything: while watching a video, for example, or listening to a song, at some point my computer decides to lock the Alt key.
I have turned this problem inside out: antivirus scan, driver check, factory reset; the problem always comes back after a while...
The only solution I found is to search for the on-screen keyboard in the Windows start menu, click (with the mouse) on Fn+F5; but the problem reappears later, the on-screen keyboard itself gets stuck on Alt, I have to close it and repeat the process, etc., etc., etc.
Has anyone ever seen this? Help?

Hi,

Have you tried turning the keyboard upside down or using a can of compressed air under the key?
It’s possible that there’s some dirt underneath that’s blocking this key.

Yes, of course. But since the problem is not physical, it has no impact on this malfunction...
