Hello

I have a Windows computer on which I downloaded and installed the "My Drive Connect" software from TomTom, which allows for updates

The GPS is a TomTom Via 130 with free lifetime maps!

When I connect the GPS to the computer, it turns on, but it's not recognized, so no updates are possible!
Can you help me?
Thank you in advance
Best regards

    Hello there,

Your issue is due to the GPS drivers that are missing on your PC. Usually, Windows Update automatically takes care of finding the drivers. But give me more information about your GPS. I will try to find your drivers manually. (Exact model of your TomTom).

Sorry, I didn't see that you had already mentioned the model of your GPS. Try this link if you haven't already. https://help.tomtom.com/hc/en-gb

Hello and thank you for your response. I just tried an update again. When I go to the link you sent me, it asks me to register the serial number! And that’s where it gets stuck because I don’t have the option to enter it, so I don’t know how to proceed! As a last resort, I might have to try to find a contact number for TomTom if it exists! Thanks again. Best regards, p@t

Hello, why can't you enter the serial number? It should be indicated on a small label on the GPS. Unless that label has been torn off, that would be a problem. Otherwise, you can contact TomTom by phone.
