Satellite reception issue (LNB?)

Hello everyone, my problem is as follows:
I bought a satellite dish kit (with a dual head for Hotbird/Astra) and a decoder a few years ago. We set everything up without any outside help and it went smoothly.
After a year without issues, the reception broke down (this happened after a storm, although the dish was securely fixed).
At first, we didn’t understand where the problem was coming from (was the dish misaligned?). So we tried adjusting the orientation but to no avail. In the end, we asked for help from an expert who diagnosed that the LNB (which he said was fragile) was burned out and needed to be replaced.

- Could the problem be due to the storm (which is quite likely) that may have damaged the dual LNB for Astra/Hotbird?
- Can I find one at major retailers?
- Is it easy to install?

Thanks in advance.
Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 2.0.0.6

Frankly, it's absurd the nonsense you have to hear to get free advertising on sites like this. There are 5 to 7 manufacturers of LNBs in total across all styles.
The brands mentioned above don't really have significant differences from those found in large retail stores or with certain small retailers. The difference is only noticeable when you're an installer measuring the gain of a complete installation on a satellite like Nilesat. Otherwise, there's no need to use this type of LNB; what the person above describes would be like saying: (Buy a 2CV and put a Ferrari engine in it! Seriously!). Anyway, for Astra or Hotbird, or even both, a classic monoblock head is more than enough.
In large retail, you'll find Engel, Optex, Sedea, all of which are comparable and you won't have any issues. At honest specialty stores, you'll find the Maximum Gold series, the Smart Titanium, the Shopplus LOS PRIME, and the Xeofix black connect. The last two are better on specific frequencies and are cheaper than an MTI.

I had 200 Nile sat channels with a 1m dish and a 0.6db LNB
I switched to a 0.1db LNB and went up to 350 channels
and in France it's difficult to get all Nile sat if you don't have a dish larger than one meter
switching from 0.6db to 0.1db is easier than installing a large 1.80m dish which is prohibited here, and it allows you to receive more channels, especially those that were unstable.
I didn't have them all, but there was good progress.

Thank you for the information. If I understand correctly, a head that costs €10 or €50 is roughly the same? What determines the quality of an LNB head?
