USB (5v 0.5A) vs USB HDD (5v 1A)

Hello, on my TV I have 2 USB ports (5V 0.5A) and USB HDD (5V 1A) and I would like to know what the difference is between these two??

    Hello,

    The USB HDD on your TV delivers 1A output, to power external drives that are more demanding than simple USB flash drives.

      Technically, yes.

      Port 1A can accommodate self-powered external hard drives, while the others cannot.

      That the hard drive is powered via USB and does not require an additional power outlet... or multiple USB ports.
