Photo playback issue on Windows Media Player

Hello,

I recently acquired a new PC with Windows 10. I'm encountering a problem when I try to view a photo with Windows Media Player: it opens it as a 5-second video. As a result, there's no option for zoom or modification (if I need it), the photo does not stay displayed, and it's impossible to move to the next photo in the folder.
What actions should I take to restore normal functionality?

    Hello

    Windows Media Player is not used for viewing photos but for listening to music or watching videos.

    If you want to view photos, just double-click on them.
    Put the photos in a folder, open the first image, and then you can switch from one image to another.
