Hello everyone,

I am currently organizing an Olympiad and would like to have 8 teams face off against another 8 teams.

Teams 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 need to compete against teams 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 in 8 different sports.
For example: I would like team 1 to compete against teams 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 in the proposed sports at different times.

Gaëtan TEAM 1
Time Sport Opponent
2:00 PM Sumo Wrestling Team 9
2:30 PM Teqball Team 10
3:00 PM Humam Team 11
3:30 PM Volleyball Team 12
4:00 PM Ultimate Team 13
4:30 PM SoGé / Snack Team 14
5:00 PM Bubble Football Team 15
5:30 PM Dodgeball Team 16

My issue is that I can't manage to match all the teams without impacting the game time or the type of sport.
Is there anyone among you who might have a solution, please?

(please note there may be errors in my Excel file)

Here is my Excel file attached: https://mon-partage.fr/f/tOCQnJyf/

Thank you all.

Eric is right: There’s no calculation to be made; so there's no need to use software (except to properly type the tables instead of writing them by hand); and there was no need for you to reach out to us like you did...
By the way, I find Eric really nice for still putting in the effort on this one! Cheers to you.

Hi Raymond,

Additionally, I just saw that this gentleman is posting on several forums: https://forum.excel-pratique.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=112469

Hello Eriic, I posted my message on CCM on July 20, and I needed a solution quite quickly. Since I didn't get a response for 3 days, I decided to repost it on another forum.
However, I thank you for your help.

Hi Raymond,

With all due respect and to avoid wasting your time, you didn't have to post this kind of useless comment without analyzing the file from eriic who indeed had the immense kindness to step in at my request.
Moreover, eriic made some mistakes on the file he sent me.

Kind regards.

Fortunately, I wasn't forced to!
I have the freedom to step in whenever I want and to make comments if I feel like it.
I never waste my time telling someone that they're wasting ours.
And who said that I hadn't analyzed Eric's file, which also doesn't contain any formulas?
